You know, that feeling you get when you pull out to pass a car in a line of traffic and then GOBBLE you've passed 5 of them in one hit. I love TVRs. I'm know that many other supercars are just as capable at gobbling, but frankly I doubt many would leave the overtakees in such awe, or the overtaker with such a stupid grin on their face.

I have exactly the same feeling - it's fantastic to see an opportunity for a nice long overtake and to execute it noisily

My only concern is other people not checking their mirrors before pulling out in front of you - has happened to me once or twice and it's not a pleasant experience. Fortunately, most people these days seem unwilling or unable to overtake anything faster than a tractor or pushbike so this isn't a regular occurence!

TVRs are safer than many cars because people hear you coming past them before they see you

Agreed - glad it's not just me that's noticed this. I passed 15 cars yesterday in a single move, in complete safety. And that was in the Mondeo...

Not sure whether the speed kills mantra has brainwashed everyone or whether people are trying to save the polar bears or cuddly puppies or something but it is exceedingly tedious!

Surely if your passing tractors and pushbikes you can managed more than 5 in one hit

No-one ever expects an old Range Rover Classic to be capable of similar manoeuvres and I often get people pulling out in front or trying to jump me as I start to move. I guess you can't see the Overfinch badge at that distance

99% of the population will not know what Overfinch means. They will probably think it's a reference to some kind of heavy duty winch for 4x4 offroader types.

99% of the population will not know what Overfinch means. They will probably think it's a reference to some kind of heavy duty winch for 4x4 offroader types.

Very true but it's more down to the fact that the average chappie can no longer carry out any kind of 'speed, time, distance' calculation and thus sees and old van and makes the assumption that it can't be travelling swiftly,

Having said that, had a plonker pull out this afternoon halfway through my overtaking manoevre in the T350. I don't think he checked his mirrors once and the first he knew was when I passed him.

Again, no one seems to check their mirrors before embarking on a move.
