Wits end with clutch!
Discussion
Hi all. I will try and keep this short lol back in December I started having trouble selecting any gears so I took the car in for a clutch replacement. I turned out the clutch was not totally worn out but changed it anyway as the box was out. The slave appeared to be fine so it was left and new seals were fitted. When the car returned the biting point was all over the place and very hard to drive so it went back in again and a new slave was fitted. Got 50 yards and the new bearing fell apart so back in again. This time there was a dreadfull vibration coming from the gear leaver and reverse was imposible to select. By this time I was very cheesed off shal we say so I took it to a different Tvr garage. They took it all out and refitted properly and it felt wonderfull!!! For 2 weeks and now it's hard to select gears again and reverse is a nightmare!!
Please what is going on?!! Any ideas?
Many thanks matt

I had a similar problem.
Clutch taken out was not really worn but still had difficulrty selecting reverse .
Martin at Racing Green informed me that a few Sagaris had problems with the measue-rements of the bell housing, which would cause the symptoms described by yourself.
I am waiting until I need a new clutch and then I will have the housing measured and machined at the same time.
Phone Martin at RG and he will explain how it should be rectified.

One thing you could do. Take the plate off around the pedals and you will see the clutch cylinder. Loosen the locking nut and wind out the shaft 5mm then nip the nut back up.
Worked a treat on mine as my biting point was almost on the floor even with a new clutch and slave and gears would crunch sometimes. By the way found my locking nut loose so the shaft could have vibrated in a little causing the issue.
