Not enjoying it

Went to Chatsworth at the weekend and was really looking forward to it. Loved the event and was excited about the first journey in the Sagaris of any length. Problem was I didn't enjoy it.

Tried analysing it and worked out I really missed getting the roof off, nothing wrong with the car, which is awesome, but somehow for me I have now realised a TVR for me is all about getting the roof down.

Think the Sagaris will have to go and will start looking for a Tuscan 2.

it really is horses for courses, but i came to the same conclusion. i'm sure the sag is the best driving experience TVR can offer, but for me it wouldn't be the best motoring experience TVR can offer because it isn't convertible.

i had a chimaera, went to a cerb which was undoubtedly a better driving experience. now drive a tamora which is the best option for me.

Do what I do - have a Chimera with the Sagaris. Then you can pick and choose...

Get it converted - the red and orange convertible Sags at Chatsworth this weekend looked stunning!

I think selling it is definitely on the cards. Done an Elise (too small)

Its a shame as it really is a good car, just took me to buy one before I realised that TVR's are really for getting topless in.....

Yes the roof down action with my Chimaera is priceless and definatly made the chatsworth run.
However if money were no object....the convertable sags that I noticed (if thats what they were) would be my dream car for sure.

I really don't think I could go back to a roof

Get it converted if you can...best move IMHO

I had the roof off my Chim all day on Saturday and although I had a great time, I got really sun burnt if that's any consolation to those with a hard top

If you like the drive and look of the Sag but are just missing the open topness, (as I must admit I do too, having sold a Tuscan & bought a Sag), then you could look at the T350T as well as Tuscan 2.

I love my Sag to bits - probably more than my wife, but as you say, owning a TVR is all about taking the lid off.

Panels off my 350t make it feel very open and pretty much like a full cabrio.

BTW - The 2 open top sags - the orange one is a Tamora based donor car and the red one looked like it was Tuscan based judging by the dash! Anyone know if those conversions are actually doable on a Sag.

With the rollcage the Sag looks difficult to convert. Made up my mind to sell so that's that. Anyone want a Chameleon Green Sagaris with 14,000 on the clock?

The red convertible sag is based on a tuscan chassis with I think Sag wishbones. The main sag bits used are the front and rear ends. The removable roof is from a tuscan.

To get plasticman to build you one of these would be cheaper than actually buying a sag.

You cannot convert a normal sag as you will loose the roll over protection.
