1/4 mile virgin - What will be good time to aim for?

Good luck Smithy, my STR8SIX just passed 10k miles & is doing quite well in TVR Speed Champ this year.
Never had a measured 1/4 though, would be interested in how you get on. For info Autocar's Sag with 3.7 diff & SP Sport tyres made 12.7 secs/122mph on normal tarmac - D14AYS was right on the money. As you probably already know, need bags of heat in rear tyres and 3/4tank fuel to maximise traction at rear off line.
See if you can get near 11's!

I somehow managed a 12.22 with a 60 shot on top of 238 @ wheels at York a couple of years ago.
It took a lot of messing about with the system before i ran in the 11's but a best of 11.63 was to be had with 150 bhp jets. Ive also experimented with a 2 stage set up with 150+100. Its felt more powerful but i never bettered the 11.6 as yet.
Maybe this August at York or better still in Blackpool for the BNG sprint.

. Well I ran my T350 today at 'Straight Liners'...
Having never been on a 1/4 mile strip in my life, I was pretty nervous. Not wanting to stall or anything etc.
I'll scan the time slips in and post them on this thread tomorrow.
1st run I really over cooked the revs badly wheel spinning in 1st n 2nd but still managed a 12.9 @ 115mph. the next run I messed up getting the back out too much in 2nd, but the 3rd run I knew by the time i'd got into 2nd it was going to be a good run and I did a 12.54 @ 116mph. Was going to call it a day but then my mate in his 500hp Rx7 pulled out a 12.50, so I had to do a few more runs. Ended up with a best time of 12.46 @ 118mph 9th overall on the day. I was pretty chuffed with that time, after originally thinking a high 12's/low 13's would be good. I think with semi's on I could definitely get into the 11's as my 12.46 was still done with way too much wheel spin.
Just as comparison a 600+hp R35 GTR using his launch control was running mid 11's and a modified Porsche 997 turbo was running high 11's, so I was well chuffed with my time. Those 2 were the only 2 street cars to beat me.

Mid 12's with a best 60 foot of 2.2 is a fantastic result and shows your car has a lot of grunt.
I run regular 1.8s to 60 foot at York on Mickey Thompson street tyres and run high 11's.
Im sure your car would do similar. Get yourself there on August 8th for a TVR shootout.
