Anyone know the red Sag at TVR Mads?

I went to see James a few weeks ago and view the car, and I can confirm that it is Red Glow Pearl with black + carbon effect interior.
It is in very good condition I have to admit but there are a couple of bad points! The car was up for sale last year with Boss Performance in Manchester and as far as I am aware didn't look after the car too well! The outfit are (apparently) not the most reputable and are wide boys who sell overpriced cars to footballers and similar types of people with very little taste. Needless to say they couldn't sell the Sag and if I remember correctly they damaged it in some way. The damage is now fixed and looks A1 but I don't know who fixed it and my big concern was whether they had ragged the ar5e off it from cold! Who knows!
I don't think James was in a hurry to sell it and the price seemed pretty fixed to me...

Thanks buddy that's interesting to hear. I will think about this long and hard now, maybe I can haggle a but more with this info. The ragging from cold is a bit worrying though. pure supposition, this type of scare mongering is not good for those dealers that have a living to make. Fair enough when dealers take deposits etc and then go bust.

Hi Stu - I wish you had raised your concerns when you came to see me and the car. As a salesman I'm not doing a good job if you leave here with doubts about one of my vehicles. The first owner MOT'd the Saggy on 2 May 09 at 13008 miles near his home. He then had it serviced on 23 Sep 09 at 13484 miles at X Works. It's about 120-140 miles his house/other garage/X Works; so that leaves circa 350 miles unaccounted for, assuming he gave it straight to the other garage for sale or return; and didn't carry on using it. The car is a genuine 6B chassis and so has the latest dash; this means all the change up lights come on at 3500 rpm if the engine is revved still cold (and then revert to your pre-sets when it is warm); so you would have to be pretty unsympathetic/blind to rag it from cold. The tyres were all in good condition/look unabused when I bought it; and I wouldn't have bought it if X Works hadn't recommended it mechanically. I've now done circa 850 more miles in the car.
The paintwork was pretty awful when I got it. Firstly TVR hadn't painted it well when they made it. In addition, the first owner had his driver's rear wing grazzed in a car park and repainted; and then at a later date hit a bollard whilst revering and made a 2" crack in an area near the rear exhaust and had that repaired (badly) and repainted. Whilst on sale or return elsewhere, the front end was repainted (badly) for stone chips. Plus there was a crack under the front nose (sleeping policeman?). So the car was four different shades of red glow. It was repaired and repainted for me by CentralTVR.
Hi Paul - You can fly cheaply from Dusseldorf to Leeds. HHC are approximately 60 miles north, Driven Image 15 miles east and TVR MADS 10 miles south of the airport. We've all got two Sagaris in stock, so you can easily see six cars in an afternoon.

Not trying to scaremonger as I actually think James is a very nice guy who I would happily buy a car off tomorrow if the right one was available. For me though, I decided this sag was too much of a risk for me.
You are correct, i was interested in that car but they kept putting me of looking at it , was told it was having stone chips done,
now know it was more then just chips,
