T350 Break Fluid Warning

Slightly dumb question but best to ask

Heavy breaking down hill brings on the warning.

Is the resevoir the white plastic tank on the driver's side with the long neck?

The level in that resevoir seems alright, but below the whole neck. How high should it be filled? Could see no markings.

Last time I had this issue is was the prelude to the slave going.

No, thats the power steering fluid!

Drivers foot-well is the location of the brake fluid reservoir, just behind the pedals.

Had this brake warning light come on recently, i topped up the reservoir with 50ml of clutch/brake fluid, and light has stayed off so far, hoping it's the brake pad's wearing down rather than the clutch!

I have an inherant fear of the footwell after spending 2 hours checking all the fuses once. Couldn't walk properly for a week

How easy is this bugger to get to and more importantly, tip fluid into?

found it.

Fluid level doesn't appear bad, it's up to the ridge in the resevoir.

Guess I need to pour fluid into a cap to transport it. Might nip out and rent a Philipino as I really can't get in there.

It's not too hard to get to, unscrew the cap, put a rag around the top of the reservoir just in case of spillage, pour fluid in using left hand from left side, i used an empty cod liver oil capsule half full at 50ml, has been healthy for last 6 weeks!

Check out your handbrake too. Sometimes mine "settles" down enough to make the switch trigger and the warning light flahes.

Click it on one notch fixes it !

Triac, could also be the handbrake switch, DonkeyApple's prob's seem to be motion related?

Regarding the handbrake, was tootling off to work yesterday when the handbrake button decided to eject at speed landing somewhere near the radio, closely followed by a long spring/dished washer/circular foam thing, have screwed it all back together bar the foam thing, not sure where it goes but handbrake seem's to work ok

Used a cap to ferry the liquid over. It was the lid to one of the wife's many lotions, seeing as she'd been irritating me today

Problem appears resolved.
