Just got my Tuscan back from Paintshield.
They have basically covered the whole car, a-pillars - the lot!! Cost just over two grand, but worth it. They have done a good job fitting thier film - the great thing about paintshield (apart from the four year gaurantee!!) is that they can wrap the film to suit your panels, where as amourfend is done in sections which can be more noticable.
My car if reflex charcoal, hense the full wrap - £865 a litre
Had the car fully detailed prior to fitting, plus some minor paintwork sorted out by Carizma TVR, I looked around and found Paintshield to have the most to offer including transportaion which for me was important.
Logistically they were excellent, and I am more than pleased with the end result - great guys to deal with.

Thats exactly why i didn't have paint shield re-fitted after i had a re-spray. It did it's job well but after a while it looked a bit tatty and for the price of the paintshield you could have a front end re-spray although this depends on the type of paint you have, i can't see laser blue being too expensive.

Alright Steve, how's things mate?I was quoted £550 for mine and the paint shield was £500 so not worth it in my opinion.
I was quoted well over £1k for a front end spray on a T350 in Laser Blue - including vat, paint and all associated work. In the end I paid well over £2k for a full respray - sure there are cheaper ones out there, but I am very happy with the quality.
The front end alone is quite a big area with lots of "fiddly" bits such as cut outs etc.

I can do kits in Norfolk, or where I like now but I wouldn't travel to site to do a car unless you have a showroom setup at your house or business, waste of time if not and only likely to cause issues, Auto innovations in Sudbury covers Suffolk, Ventureshield can do all that Paintshield does but it has a lifetime (that you own the vehicle) warranty. Don't think, cost of respray compared to cost of film, think keep the original paint, think time off the road, think back & forth for resprays, think cost of respray after respray, if it does have a respray then the film, it's all covered for years to come, it will save you money if you can bare the odd line from the film or if not, have it fully wrapped.
I can highly recommend paintshield in Grantham ,They did a fantastic job on my sagaris a couple of years ago. Sadly sold the car just before Xmas but there wasn't a single stone chip on the car. Tom is a real pro and a really nice guy. Even lent us his boxster to go for our lunch. Now That's what I call service.

t when it comes to finishing and was more than impressed with the accuracy these guy's made the film fit.
Dodo Juice Diamond White (Hard Wax) followed by Chemical Guy's clear-seal detailer keeps it looking a treat and gives it another level of protection when it comes to bugs and bird st!!

Just for accuaracy the "Lifetime" warranty is reported (in the US) as having been (or is imminent ) eliminated and the new warranty will be Five years (normal 3M warranty terms on PPF). Thi is being extensively confirmed in the US. The expectation therefore is that (in line with their other policies) the warranty will be the same over here. In truth with warranties its not about the length its about the content and what is warranted. It is worth looking in detail at what circumstances and events any warranty covers in this business.Cheers

"I also was able to speak to Gina, a 3M Rep. who handles Warranty claims for both 3M and Venture. I was very lucky to be apart of this meeting.
Here's what the Reps said: No changes to VentureShield film. It will be manufactured the same as it has been and will continue to do so as far as anyone knows. The VS warranty will have any defects including yellowing! Even the warranty rep Gina said so.
You are correct with the 5 year Warranty, but all Lifetime Warranty claims will hold up until the new warranty cards are printed and distributed. They are guessing till next month things will change."
