having put my car through a service 5 weeks ago and now taken it elsewhere im dismayed to say that an exhaust mount was badly damaged, clutch fluid was badly contaminated and oil needed toping up by a litre or so. surely these faults should have been spotted and the very least the right amount of oil put in the car! has done less than 100 miles since the service, think this will be the first and last time i use this well known garage.

I'm 'down south' too. I'm sure both of the 'TVR' garages I use regularly would spotted these issues. PM me if you want details.

It is quite easy to work out where you went for service by looking at posts from around 5 weeks ago smile

I cannot comment on that garage as I have no experience. However, for next time I can recommend Str8Six, just a short thrap up the M40 away.

Bought my sagaris from said garage. Had to iron out so many problems myself, bit concerned as it's there for a service at the moment and they've had it for three weeks so far and reckon it's another week.....they also did some work on my lotus which took bell and colvill less than a week for similar. They took seven. And it wasn't right so I had to go back. Might check out srt8six next time........

Four weeks now. Looking at five weeks. Anyone else had such a problem with getting work done on their TVR?

Doesn't surprise me, I've heard more bad things than good from said place.

My only experience was when I went there to buy a Lotus, they wouldn't let me test drive it - so I went elsewhere with my money. As have several others I spoke to.

IIRC said business has had a partial change of ownership (hence the name change) and new work shops that they were due to move to/have recently moved to. Maybe this has something to do with it?.

Sad if their poor performance is not an isolated event as I have used them in the past and always like to have a back-up garage, having used Str8six for the past 12 months for service work and the like.

Well I think mine will be going back to Kerridges anyway for service work etc, it's where I bought it from anyway, and they've known the car for a while - and I know that they'd rather do a job properly and take a bit longer than just rush it through.

It's quite annoying. I've spent over 60k at that place. I don't think my car was right when they sold it to me, and I've told them to just leave the rest of the work and I'm picking the car up tomorrow. Just fed up of hearing "oh it'll be next week" for the last three weeks....still going to cost over a grand....really disappointed.

Phoned them again to arrange car pick up. Car is locked in workshop, no access to it apparently even though the website says the workshop is open on Saturdays. It's just turning into a farce. Summer is ebbing away, spending it driving around in a hatch while still paying for a TVR.....not pleased
