Blue Sagaris press car

I've been seeing this car quite regularly in the Selby to York area recently, is it anyone from here? What a noise that thing makes, pure aggression with artillery fire on the overrun

Not sure if this should be posted in Spotted TVRs but thought this forum would be busier.

Its my old Sag. Don't know who owns it now, it was for sale at Sebring a year or so ago....

The guy that brought it from Sebring, only had it for a few months and then sold it back to them. It then sold again, fairly quickly to presummably its current owner.

Doesn't surprise me Nigel. You probably know the story but it was in a right state when I got it. Left outside for ages with broken glass, all the dash and internal wiring had been ripped out, the engine was sitting on a pallet at Ricardo... It wasn't a bad car when I sold it, but realistically it probably needed another 5 - 10k spending on it.

I know when Sebring sold it it was a damned good car. Matt had put a lot of work into prepping it for sale and it seemed to drive well when I went in it.

This car now belongs to a friend of mine from the Selby area. I/He would be intrested to know any kind of history of this car?? Ill point him in this direction as i know he's registed on this board.

There's definitely plenty on here if he/you search for it. Not all positive unfortunately, he might want to be sitting down.

The key thing is what condition the car is in now. None of its history greatly matters to his enjoyment driving it now.

Thing is a lot of it was by people who hadn't even seen the car. I know Sebring put a lot of time into getting that car into shape and sorting out the bits and pieces that needed doing. At the time of sale it was a very well sorted car and at the price a bit of a bargain compared to the non-press cars for sale.

Any details at all on the car, history etc.... As it seems from some replies to this car may have more too it then meets the eye. Obv all press cars have hard lifes early on

Where to start......

It's had at least three rebuilds that I know of. Possibly more, but records were/are patchy.

TVR had entered an agreement with Ricardo to redevelop the speed six engines, and TVR lent Ricardo Mr Blue as a development mule. Consequently, it was stripped down, engine pulled out, most of the wiring ripped out, and left anguishing outside for about 18 months. Unfortunately, during this 18months some glass was broken and never fixed, so the interior was a bit mullered.
