Exhaust heat shield

Has anybody fitted a heat shield over their entire exhaust? If so does it help in reduceing cabin temps?

What would probably be better in terms of reducing the in-cabin temps...

So the heat has to go somewhere, where would you like it to go? Everyone says de-catting is the way to go. Doesn't your aircon work? Should have bought a Targa

I have a de-catt and don't suffer too much with heat soak, the air con is brillant as well, I have to turn it off after a while as I'm too cold

sometimes the air con works and sometimes it doesn't???

So the less heat in the cabin the better.

Lee - Def let me know about the decats as I'm toying with the idea. Are you getting a re-map done at the same time?

It's well worth taking a few hours to properly set up your dash vents a la Graham Varley's Sag manual. It's transformed our aircon in the hotter weather and made long stints in scorching weather far more bearable!

could be worth making a heat shield to cover the fan box/heater matrix on the nearside of the engine bay.. apart from that, making a tunnel shield could provide some benefit

Do you have any pictures? The heater matrix leaks a bit on mine and draws hot air in from the engine bay if stationary for a long period of time.
