T350 rear tyre sizes - is this right and what are you using?
Discussion
I need to order a couple of rears for my 350, currently I have Eagle F1s and IIRC the size is 235/40/18. I seem to remember reading on here that some have opted for a lightly different size, is that right and if so what size? Does it affect the rolling radius for speedo etc and wheel arch rubbing?
Secondly what tyres are people liking right now? Thinking about the F1 asymetrics but I believe theres also a new Toyo out now? Any recommendations gratefully received.

I'm sure lots of brands will be fine, but Toyos and Goodyear F1s seem the most popular. I'm running F1 Asymetrics and they are a very good tyre, better than the old V pattern F1s IMHO.
As for width, I'm std - 235x40, but some owners have gone wider. Are you short on traction? I'm not with a measly std HP'd car :-) Yes it changes the rolling diameter/speedo reading, but not by much. There are lots of calculators online and there is a lot of info on the tyre manufacturers websites.

I've tried 255/35x18s and they actually rubbed less than the previously fitted 235/40s, due to a slightly lower radius. As to grip i'd personally avoid hancooks unless you have a preference for drifting and stick with the good named brands like Goodyears etc.
PS regarding rubbing it can vary from car to car and is dependent on Geo/spring damper combination and what your wheel wells are like and if its evenly aligned to chassis. One t350 seemed to have 1/2" more clearance on one side compared to the other and it wasn't crash/damaged repaired, ie came out of the factory like that (unless they crash repaired it before new sale ?).

You can't get sessantas in a 225/35x18 which means running a taller sidewall front like a 225/40x18 . On a T350 this can lead to Tyre/Arch/wheel well rubbing at the front on droop and turn in. It may also rub up in the top of the wheel well on full bump due to the taller tyre, some of this may be dependant on ride hieght/geo/ spring rate, but the front arch well rubbing is very very likely. As to the rear both 235/40 and 255/35s are available in Sessanta 18s.
Turn in is less direct on the taller tyre and bump steer/tramlining also seems reduced (though could be car specific).
If you dont want to faff sorting clearance issues then Goodyear Asymetrics are probably a better choice, stock front 255 rear

Interesting - I was going to post something similar as I've recently gone from Toyos to the Goodyear F1 assymetics on the back and have experienced severe scrubbing on the outside edges.
The Toyos were fine, even with the same ratio (I'm running the 40 profiles). Additionally, despite having put on around 500 miles since they were fitted, I have to say that the grip (both wet and dry) is nowhere near as good as the Toyos.
The car has recently also had new shocks and springs and a full geo setup and I'm still not wonderfully impressed with the F1s.
Wish I'd waited to get the Toyos now

I'm glad you said that as I was starting to err towards the F1s. What shock set up have you gone for?
