passenger side window possesed

been out for a run ,and the passenger window has developed a mind of its own ,going up and down of its own accord.

will it be the micro switch on the door catch

or something else?

Sounds like the button is sticking. I had it on my drivers door button. Is it going up and down?

not responding to button ,but moves when door open closed.or on its own ...alarmed car and its stayed up ,hopefully

is there a module for the windows ,?ie one each side

There is an ecu for each door. You can swap them over and see if it switches the problem?

Left one (part ME0615) is in the compartment in the left footwell behind the carpet. The right one is in the compartment to the right of the drivers footwell with the dash ECU behind it.

My door button didn't work when you pressed it (it thought it was already being pressed). You can remove the pcb behind the switch if you go in through the space left when you remove the glovebox. See if there is any st stuck on it.

I'd swap the ecus first.

That's the thingy. I've twice tried to post on this but couldn't find the right word (ECU seems a bit of an overstatement these days). They'll misbehave if they get wet. That would do it.

I agree - but it says 'Door ECU' on it.

He/she visited me too last night. My pops and bangs all but vanished when I was out yesterday, I was most concerned. Had to go out for a blat this morning to check, I was all set for a trip to the garage as I thought the car was sick but they were back in full song today.

I thnk TVRs are the only cars that regularly mend themselves. Mine mended the sticking door button a few times.

2 options (may be more) ECU was damp and has now dried out. Or back to the button sticking - button expands slightly in the heat and sticks. When everything cools down it is ok again.

A small sacrifice of Mobil 1 should keep the TVR fairies happy until next time.
