T350/Tam owners - anyone use 255/35 rear tyres?

Following on from my tyre thread I know I'll be plumping for a pair of Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas, but what size? Currently I'm on the norm of 235/40 but I know a lot of people have gone to 255/35 - why? what are the benefits and downsides? The wider tyre is more expensive so is the extra outlay worthwhile?

I have 265's at the rear on my T350 and I got notceably more grip and less tramlining on motorways over the original 235's.

What fronts are you going to use? I've got the 255/35s Sessantas fitted to stock Spiders.

Fronts don't require changing and are currently the standard sized 225/35 running BF Goodrich G-Force profilers.

How have you found the wider Sessantas?

255/35s here on SP12s, Toyo T1R tires.

Compared to the hancook ventus that was on before the sessantas have massively more grip wet or dry. But the Hancook seems to be a really bad tyre.. (nice for drifting and wheelspin only).

Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta 255/35 on the rear (standard spiders).

Why? Just for the hell of it, they look good and grip is good wet and dry.
