T350 tyres.... Help please

Hi,

I'm thinking of upgrading the rear tyres on my T350c to 255/35 on standard spiders.

First of all, do the spiders take that width safely? Would they potentially take up to a 265/35?

Secondly, if i was going to run those on the rear, what would people suggest i pop on the front?

Yeah i can find threads on the rear subject but not on the front.

255/35 rear is an easy choice and often results in less rubbing than a 235/40 due to the lower sidewall hieght. Front options are very limited by the wheel well dimensions and its difficult to get anything to fit in 18" diameter other than the std size on a T350.
265/35 may be a bridge to far for the rear.

For the front if you could get 235/35s easily then they might have been a good option but there isnt much choice in that size (bar some very expensive pirellis from what I've seen).
So the next option is perhaps a 225/40, this however is a fair bit taller and can require ride hieght and wheel arch tweaks to get clearance and may result in less than ideal turn in.

This will deffinatley require tweaking. I have had to raise the car up and replace the sculptured headlamp rear cover with a flat panel. The passenger side did not rub but the drivers side was a pain in the arse

I've just gone to 255/35 on the rear, keeping the standard sized front. I went for Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas and so far all seems good, though I've only just scrubbed off the release compound as yet.
