Transmission 'Klonk' on gear change

Hi Folks,
When i dip the clutch i can feel a 'klonk' through the car. It's worse the more power i had down before dipping the clutch. It feels like something heavy is moving. Only a gentle gear change prevents this. I wonder if an engine mount has broken. The clutch is original on 31k so i don't know if that's causing it, although it's not slipping. Any ideas?

Diff bushes, gearbox mounting or similar. Get someone to take a look.

Just for the record, it was the front left engine mount (seems to last about 6000miles) and the right diff mount. Thanks Andy at APM.
