Dash display wont shut down

A little help please.

My dash display wont shut down. All works car starts etc just this issue. Tried taking out the 7.5amp fuse for a bit which shuts it off but when I put it back in I get System 144 power supply fault.

Do I disconnect the fuse in the foot well for a bit or is it something else?

Was talking to Jason yesterday about various dash issues his suggestion was take out the dash ecu drivers side lower. Take it apart and tighten the screws which hold the circuit board in place and maybe put some foam over the board so it forms a sandwich when you put the case back together.
Make sure all the plugs are nice and tight when you refit.

Figured it out....new alternator is duff! Suspect diode issue as alternator warm / hot even after being stood for hours.
