t350c or a 911 (933) carrera2 ?

im maybe thinking of selling my t350c and replacing it with a 993 carrera 2.
anybody got any views on this, sensible views please about how both cars compare, i know about the noise and how good the t350c looks thanks.

im now also thinking of a 996 turbo,again sensible thoughts and opinions appreciated.

i do love my t350 but this is nagging in my head so i either need to do something about it or put it to bed.

Seriously considered the same swap, looked at about 10 993's, but unless you're spending 30k + ish, they are mostly higher milage cars, or just aren't as nice spec.

A 993s would have been ideal and I did view a nice car, but 38k for a 15 year old car and 65k miles just didn't add up for me personally.

Also, they are not that quick tbh, you will miss the raw power of the T350, I sure do now I've sold mine.

Still looking though, if the right car comes up for sale with a lower milage I could still be tempted!

Really? I mean, come on, really? Just look to the reasons why you bought the t350 in the first place. I personally can't see a choice, at least get an evora, it's got some character and doesn't handle like a barge.

Had both, I do know where you're coming from, I assume you haven't driven one yet....

Test drove one when I had a Griff - most happy to get back into Griff and drive off in a sports car that drove like one and was so much faster.

Few years later had a fast but unreliable S6 Cerbera, and finally bought my 993 glass-roof targa with sigh of relief. Very reliable, too much grip even around wet roundabouts for the little power. Needed another 100bhp, an lsd and a sports exhaust. Only started getting much feedback from chassis at 110+ which wasn't good for me.

Sold it a year later, pleased to have tried it, but ecstatic with the handling, involvement and sound of the new T350. A GT3 may be another matter of course.

So IMO depends if you want to tick it off your list and not go back...

I have had both a 996 turbo and GT3 and to be honest they are extremely practical. but it wasnt what i wanted out of a sports car.

my t350 gives me everything, a sense of actually being in a sports car rather than a family estate!!

Had both...993 drives a lot better

now got another 996 turbo which is infanately better than both

If you really want one then get a GT3, or better still join the dark side and move up to a Sag you know it makes sense!

Had two 993's and both great cars, I was lucky enough that one of them was a 993RS RHD and sold it like a true idiot.

The TVR and Porsche are totally different cars but have one thing is the same and that is they are enthusiasts cars which have a sense of occasion and need to be cared for.

Get either, you will not regret them - knowing in advance of course that heart ache may be on the cards.
