Number for sale at an all time low

Even though we're in a recession I don't think I've ever seen so few T cars for sale on PH - 9 T350s, 7 Sagaris and 7 Tamoras. There are only a few others on places such as Autotrader too. This is great news for the future of these classics (IMO they are already classics). Not so good for potential buyers, but you guys just need to bide your time.

I had noticed over the summer that most of the Tams were snapped up, particularly those in the lower price bracket.

Noticed this too and the fact the prices seem slightly higher...didnt look but interesting to see how many t350t's are currently for sale?

I'm hoping there will be better availablity come Christmas, when the nasty cold weather and tight purses mean people are more willing to loosen their grip on their pride and joy....

Yep, Tamora loan all paid off, engine rebuilt/upgraded to 4.0L, Nitrons fitted, ACT Air Box fitted, Alloy Rad fitted, and all niggles sorted. Thats me ready for long term ownership

Some of us bought a mint second hand 350, sold it back to its original owner. Bought an CAT D example. Poured a ton of money into it and wouldn't sell for love nor money. Owning is akin to addiction, thanks Trev

Yeah, well you've now been through the 'sold it and regretted it' phase too Owners just don't understand until they've done it

Trouble is, I get tempted to add another one to the stable - Cerbera one minute, Tamora the next, even a Sagaris caught my eye today (lord knows why ).

Think I've turned the eye of one of the fellas at work (so to speak...) with my Tam, his daily drive is a 5 series and he used to own a Boxster until he left a roundabout backwards and hit a lamp post. However, he keeps coming up and asking various questions. We're currently up to, insurance, where to buy from and what does an HPI check cover? Nearly there....

Most owners will have their TVRs hibernating over the winter months waiting for the spring to wake them up once again,don't think you will get a good cheap Tiv anywhere in fact the only things going cheep nowadays are chickens.

Since I 'seriously' started looking for a Tam in August, there have been 31 up for sale on Pistonheads. I've been keeping a record - sad I know!

There are now 9 for sale, which means 22 have either been sold or withdrawn in around 2 months.

22 is probably not far off 10% of the remaining surviving Tams with the attrition from accidents, fires and blown engines etc. Wonder how many are still around

My good lady spotted a cascade Sag for sale at Cross Roads Subaru, on the Fosse Way near Shipston today at £41,995. Not listed on here, but looked gorgeous in the sun as we passed by - AT04DTN - if anyone knows it. We went round the roundabout just to have a nose

Bazzer - good idea, I'd like to see a list of Tams too. Just need someone to take the job on, but I'm happy to supply details and pix of mine
