Sun shining today so I thought it only right to drag the Tamora out for a wash and a blast.
Removed the accumate cigar charger, and with it came the 'female' part of the cigar lighter.
The remaining wired portion of the housing has fallen into the hole.
I've had a fiddle but it looks like I am going to have a job to repair it without taking the car apart.
Hence drat.
.......still managed the wash and the blast though
I'm hoping that someone here has been here, done this, and is going to assure me that it is a simple fix!
I am now using an anderson connector to hook up the accumate so it's not the end of the world, but I do use the lighter for satnav/phone charging on occasion..
any advice greatly received.

Is the bit that's been left behind a spade connector or just loose wires? Just a thought, if it is a metal spade or similar, you could get one of those telescopic Rolson pick-up jobbies from Halfrauds and have a dig around until it finds the spade, bring it up to the surface and reconnect.. It seems as if there is a cylinder housing remaining with a central female connector, which is slightly too wide to pull out of the hole.
The bit that came out on the end of the accumate looks like it should slide into the cylinder housing and locate a male pin into that central connector
Trouble is, the female is not fixed in any way so lining it up is difficult.
Plus the location of the lighter doesn't help as I can't get direct vision on it.
Will have another fiddle once my patience levels have been replenished...!

niceHaving removed the tunnel several times, its easier with the roof off and the handbrake pulled on hard. That way when you tilt the tunnel to slide it off the handbrake it does not hit the roof.
I added an extra connector for my C-TEK (from the back of the lighter) so I did not have to use it to keep the car on charge.
