My first Sagaris breakdown today.....Gutted!!!!

On my way back from Racing Green after the diff seal replaced having a good run, nearly home, only 22 miles to go after a 3 hour drive and suddenly the throttle pedal goes straight to the floor and the car sraight to idol!!!

Bloody throttle cable snapped at the pedal. Call RAC, i fall asleep in car, they arrive an hour later. Tries to fix it on side of road with no joy after an hour, by this time im freezing my nuts off! Ends up on low loader.

Moral is in future i carry a spare bloody cable in the glove box. Silly boy!!!!!

Should change to the aa! Had my broken throttle cable fixed within 15 mins. The repair held for three months and then I had it changed at service. Keep a spare in the back now....

Hard luck. Now check Graham's manual for details on how to ensure this doesn't happen again (basically bend the tab on the pedal where the cable connects to stop it being stressed so much).

the r a c fixed mine this year at silverstone with a temporary nipple, worked really well! took him about one hour in the foot well.

Yeah, i've been there and done that, i didn't have a spare cable at the time either so on to the back of a low loader it went.

yep been there too.
very tight lying in the foot well trying to change. would be a tough job at roadside

No thats ok, i get full up RAC with the very best cover they offer for FREE every year inc euro comp cover!! Altho i was only 20 miles from home i was still offered a courtesy car, not needed, and any hotels fees upto £600 again not needed but certainly gave me confidence if im far from home, hey!!! Altho he couldnt fix it and to be fair he tried his hardest they wiped ym arse left right and centre to get me home.

Ive got Grahams bible whish will give me all the tricks to get it fixed. and its under warranty so RG can get me one sent to me and ill happily fit it.
