Windscreen wiper not working

Hi
Obviously now the heavy rain has arrive, ONE (passenger side luckily) wiper arm has stopped working?!! The driver's side operates fine.
Haven't taken a look yet (because it won't stop raining) but imagine there's some kind of link arrangement. Can anyone shed any light or has had this problem?

Yes, pop the bonnet and you can see the linkage easily.

Happened to me on the motorway - turned out the hex screw had loosened. I now keep a hex tool in the car now.

If it is not a loose linkage then the arm pivots on a splined spigot. It may have come up off this.

Probably the linkage, but you should never pass up the opportunity to say spigot.

The arm was loose on the SPIGOT. All sorted, simply tightened the hex bolt up
Now I can see on the way home.
