Just having a bit of a ponder...
I've just ordered my car in Orient blue with Anthracite wheels (same as the one at Castle, third one down on the link below...)

I think they look good and make the car a little more "mean & aggressive", but Snakes & Rolex both think silver would look better!!
Just wondered what the rest of you think while I still have time to change the order!!

Can't believe you just posted that - i was looking at that car literally 2 minutes ago thinking damn that looked good!! That colour definitely suits the dark wheels. I think all the other blues suit silver better.
Love the interior of that one at castle too.....might go and see it on saturday - although it is slightly out of my price range.
Loving orient blue after seeing them pics

I'm having my standard wheels powder coated next week to make them anthracite - gonna cost about £350 + VAT, which is slightly less than £200 per wheel for new TVR wheels
My girlfriend did some Photoshop magic on some pictures of my car (we were bored over Easter!) and as a result I'll be having the darker wheels and also my windows tinted - it looked awesome. Makes the car look totally different - very mean. Can't wait!
The finishing (Photoshop) touch was a smaller front number plate - sorry to hijack the thread but does anyone know where to get them made?

nope, but I did see the guys at Castle TVR experimenting with self adhesive number plates for the front. They looked quite good, and of course the fonts can be printed to any size....
have to be carefull you stay within the legal limits though!!
Just diverting back to the origonal thread, do you think the combo I've chosen goes ok then??

Neil,
Do you mind telling me where you're getting your powder coating done and do you think it'll look identical to the TVR antracite wheels?
I'm considering doing the same to the 18-inch wheels on my Tamora.
Saw 2 "Grigio Titanio" Tamora's next to each other when I bought mine so had the advantage of seeing one with/one without the anthracite alloys.
Personally I love them but don't want to pay the price for new ones!

I can tell you, but after some further consideration I'm not getting mine done. I'm going to buy new wheels and sell the old ones (now that they've been cleaned up!) - second hand 18s are in such high demand so I'll easily find a buyer.

They quoted me 350 + VAT for all 4 wheels but that is their drop-the-car-off-if-you-can't-get-the-wheels-to-us deal. Its much cheaper if you can either (a) take the wheels off and courier them (although I don't know how much the courier would cost?) or (b) get a mate with a big car to drop them off. This is because a large portion of the price for mine would've been the cost of storing the car overnight (they don't have the facilty on the premisses so use a local garage). Turn around is pretty quick though - they said if I drop the car off before 8.30 am on the Thursday, I could collect it again after 2.30pm on the Friday. Not bad for 4 wheels powder coated, baked, laquered and balanced in 1.5 days I thought.
Give them a ring and speak to Matt.
They said that the anthracite was "close" to the TVR one but not exact. You also have a choice of lacquer - high gloss or "sparkle", I think TVR wheels are the "sparkle" finish - it makes them look metalic. There is a picture of an anthracite wheel on their web site but its finished in high gloss so doesn't look so good (IMHO).
Hope that helps.
