HID kits for Tamora

This one on Ebay seems right, can anyone confirm the bulb is correct H4

Those light are a very hot light temp and will be very blue which gives less light on the road, the ones you want should be no hotter than 6000K I would say, this is what I fitted and are very good.

I (well STR8SIX) fitted these on my Cerb and they are excellent and work out at about £68.

Nothing on my Cerb as these units only use the original wiring to control a relay. The power for the bulbs comes dirctly from a good fused power feed, the battery in my case.

Couldn't believe the difference, can see at night now.

I was starting to wonder when you were supposed to change the candles in the Tamora.

I will buy the best kit I can do, normally the standard plug from the bulb just powers the ballast that lights the lamp so unless the plug is very different it should be simple enough...just hope the Tam is H4 bulb (think it is)

You can have problems by using the TVR wiring to power the blast due to the poor wiring on the car causing a low voltage at the ballast.

This is why I chose this kit as it gets round this problem by relacing the main 12volt feed to the bal;ast with one straight from the battery.

I fitted 6000k to my Tuscan, ran fine on STD wiring.

Easy to fit, no need to cut or change the loom but you need both wheels off and access to the battery. Each ballast needs an earth (I ran them from the battery) The loom also needs a 12V supply from the battery. One side of the new loom for the HID's plugs into the existing bulb loom (I would use the ps) You will need to cut the centre out of the rubber cap that fits over the back of the lamp where the old bulb sits as the HID bulb unit is longer.

I mounted the ballasts in the wings (access with the headlight covers removed) held in place with silicone adhesive. The radio reception will be dire with the lights on even more so as the aerial is in the wing on the PS. To stop the dash lights going out turn the ign on first before the lights.

A couple of hours work to do a propper job. Whilst you have the wheels & lamp covers off I would fit some captive nuts and use a neoprene seal to the back of the lamp covers to save using silicone every time you want to take them off (Graham mod not mine).

I got mine from ACEPARTS (see fleebay or google) cost £100. Yes they are from China but I have seen kits at twice the price come from the same place, the poor translation of the instructions gives it away!. Had them 2 years now and no problesm, should also go through the MOT without issue as well.
