Sigh. In Holland earlier today, work colleague was a slight petrolhead, rides a Triumph bike. In discussion he asked if my TVR is a Triumph. Sigh.

The last time I was at Tesco (love parking in the family bays with my daughter in her child seat, strapped into the Tamora, seeing the other dads in their spaz bus's looking sad) I had a friendly old chap saying 'I know it's made by Tamora, but what model is it?'

Sitting on the road in the T350 waiting for traffic to pass so I can pull into my drive and a passing neighbour says "I know its a Ford but what is it?" Just smiled and said sorry mate can't hear you over the exhaust.

A FORD? On what planet? I suppose it does look (nothing) like the Puma. I got asked if mine was a Zonda. Having then explained, he said "What'll it do then?" to which I replied "185mph" (well, it's headline grabbing). "No", he said "I mean to the gallon?". *BLANK LOOKS*

When I was getting a quote from an insurace company the gentleman from far far away asked if it was jananese.

After being stopped by traffic bike plod in my 350 for a suspected small front plate, he noted that there were different rules for imported cars like mine which may go in my favour!

On explaning Blackpool was still in the UK as far as I knew, he obliged with a fix penalty notice after noting the dgits were 3mm undersized (yes he did measure them).

You're too honest You have to be careful these days, what with dodgy previous owners selling on cars in a non-road legal state

The same plate is back on btw, no tugs.

Have to agree and feel said same rogue trader should offer to return the plods ill gotten gains, given I bought car, with plate, in good faith.

You never mentioned the plate was illegal and I trused you every word!

Trust the old girl is running well after a few wear and tear issues of late you've posted. Nothing compared to the money pit in my garage I'm sure. Running well now though so can't complain, just yet! (oh, despite the leaking steering rack)

It's running sweet. Like you say, a few wear and tear bits like the radiator, but nothing unexpected. I might even get it out for a trundle tomorrow for a trip into London shopping.
