T350 owner in London?

Hello PH'ers! I am thinking of buying a T350 in a month or two. Since I live in Holland it is not all that easy but I'll fly over in Feb to look at some cars.

But this weekend I am in London and I was wondering if one of you would like to take me for a ride in his. Of course I don' t have to drive myself, I'd just very much like to experience the ride along and hear your owners stories.

I am travelling out by Eurostar so I don't have wheels on me there but if you are somewhat in the vicinity of London I'm sure I'll get there. I'm staying until monday evening.

I am 5 minutes away from a mainline train station (Headcorn) between London and Ashford. If you are intersted, let me know?

Not sure if you're aware but there is a T350 in the classifieds that is for sale and is based in Holland?

It's at a pretty decent price as well.

that car has been on PH before, about 12k was the price and still in the UK.
think is a Cat C or a Cat D...
you will find some more info on a German TVR forum...

Could well be I'm just a little further west, can't say the car has been anywhere much the last 2 weeks though. I was parked right behind you and Dean at FoS on the Friday - gave you a PH spot then...

You'll be referring to the one from Target cars, been for sale almost a couple of years now which should tell you something. The place has a very dodgy reputation, they're not TVR specialists and from what I've heard a lot of their stock is very much bottom of the pile. Theres rarely anything good about a cheap TVR.

Yes I did notice it had been up for a while. I thought that might have been because it's in holland and most buyers want a UK car.

I looked at that T350c in Holland months ago. I knew beforehand that I would like one higher in the market segments but since it is just so rare to see one for sale around here I went anyway. And it was in very bad shape; even worse than I expected.

It is not a car company selling it but some kind of import wholeseller. They buy everything from Ferrari's with missing front ends to digging machines in the UK and then sell it in Holland with no warranty. They don't repair or do anything themselves, they just buy and sell. Must be said that there were some superficially nice looking cars there (non TVR) as well. If people want to make their own technical judgement call and buy a car without history or warranty, I guess they can get it there for a good price... would not recommend anyone taking a look at the T350 though unless you are very sure of what you're getting into.

Thanks for the replies for the car viewing but I couldnt make it work. I just couldnt get to PipeNslippers in my schedule. Eurostar people were not very flexible with me getting on the train in Ashford instead of London. Hopefully some other time; I'm seriously in the buyers market now and would like to chat & ride along with one of you guys before going on the hunt for one of my own! If I fly over I'll post a bit more in advance than last weekend and hopefully it will work out

Btw the same company sold a yellow T350T about 1,5 year ago I think, but that one was sold within a week. It did look like a better example and the price was quite a bit higher as well (don't recall how much) but I didn't see it for myself.

So I guess the year-long ad on car they're selling now is not a case of no buyers in mainland Europe but just the result of the car itself.

If you are back in London again I'm nearly always in East London (E3) at the weekends and would be happy to take you for a ride. No intention of ever selling mine - best car I've ever had (and it's my 4th TVR).
