Tamora on 16" wheels

I have a Tamora with a set of 18" SP12 & Toyo R1R's 265/35R18 & 225/40R18's
The car is sitting on a set of 16" spyders at the moment as it's not getting used during the winter
Having read a few things about the cars handling better on 16" wheels i was thinking of getting the 16" rebooted with Toyo R888's for trackdays.
They have some old 225/50R16's on at the moment Question is are these the recommended sizes for 16" tyres on a Tamora?

225/50/16 is what is on the sales blurb I have fromTVR for theTamora on the std rims

Dia of tyres is pretty similar too...

225/50R16 = 24.7" dia
225/40R18 = 25.1" dia
256/35R18 = 25.4" dia

so car will sit
0.20" (5mm) lower at the front
0.35" (8.5mm) lower at the rear
so shouldn't effect the geo too much.

It will change the rolling radius of the wheel so the speedo will be out. Easy to correct the analouge speedo through the pod menu. Use a GPS speed device and pick a speed to calibrate against.

Not too worried about a 2% discrepancy in the speedo reading especially as it'll be over reading with the 16” and it's very accurate with the 18" setup according to me ttnav..
