I am going to order a fire extinguisher to fit into my Tamora just wondered where people thought it was best to bolt it in so it looks neat and can be accessed easily in the worst case scenario?

bugger another job to add to the list.

I did like it when BMW used to fit it to the front of the drivers seat, you didn't know it was there but always handy.

Which one are you going for? Group buy?

I was just going to get a standard one off ebay with a mounting bracket that I can fix to the interior somewhere. Whas considering behind the seats in the middle of the passenger and driver seat.

One like this:

Make sure it's securely mounted wherever you fit it, it would make a significant weapon inside the car if it got loose in a ding smash

Did think about the ebay option, cheapest one on demon tweeks is £49, that is a big difference in price. Trouble is when you want it, you want it to work. So was a little nervous, anyone used one of these from ebay.....

I agree, doesn't take up any usable space but readily accessible. Not attached to my seat but on the floor immediately in front.

Ive read a few posts saying that that powder stuff totally ruins the engine anyway, probably does just as much damage than letting it burn!

Perhaps a foam one would be better?

Think a ruined engine is better than a whole car gone.

Mine is under the passenger's legs. I attached the fitting thing to the seat adjust bar (is there a proper noun for those things?) using velcro cable straps.

Mine is in the boot, holder is screwed into the wheelarch on the driver's side, so it is nicely tucked to the side.

Sucked in I guess not a problem if the airbox lid on your S6 engine fits like a glove.....

I'm pretty sure I read that it's corrosive to the engine.

I'll try and find the thread.

But as somesaid said earlier, would rather a damaged engine than a burnt out shell.

I have just finished adding an extension to the front (passenger) seat runner (using the front bolts to attach the seat frame). Then added a brace between the two protruding extensions.

It's out of the way but still in easy reach and didn't need to drive holes in the body.

Apologies about the poor quality photo..
