Boring tyres

I know this is another boring question about tyres but I need this to be right, I have done a search and I have not found the answers I was looking for.
What are the best tyres for my Tamora?

I have just had a bad experience with a goodyear F1 i have shedded the front one with only 8000 mile on the clock and I had to pay for the car to be recoverd [although I thought my RAC recovery policy coverd this] So now I am on the market fo two 225-35-18
Reliability is the key

Can't speak from personal experience but Toyo's TR-1's are highly thought of and Falken 452's seem to be growing in popularity and are quite cheap.

Like you after much deliberation and searching the forums and internet, I am going to fit Toyo R1-R's on my T350. 255/35/18 rear and 225/40/18 front.

The TR-1's on my Sagaris have so far gone through 2 years of (hard) driving, and 2 trackdays and are still legal! I'm going to replace like for like....

Put toyo's on my Tam. Did not go with the wider 255 rears but might be worth considering. IIRC there is no rubbing issues they just fit right on.

For general road use I've used Toyo T1-Rs for my Tamora and T350 and have generally found them to be very good. I've reverted to 235s on the rear as anything bigger seems to foul under different circumstances and ride heights.

Just echoing what others have said really. I've been on Toyo's for the last 5 years and been entirely happy with them. T1-S's until they stopped doing them and T1-R's more recently. Seem to get about 10000 miles out of the rears, no track days, just road use.

I have F1's all round on my (audi) S3 and after 6000 miles, one of the fronts looks like could be going this way

I'm running BF Goodrich G-force profilers on my T350, so far I'm loving them having come from Eagle F1s. Falkens are OK - I ran them on my Chim with little complaint.

Are we talking about the GS-D3 variant or the later asymmetric ones?

As for the shreading,I came through a town called Alston up in northumberland 300m of cobbled stones after about 15 mins the steering went all over the place pulled over and the wall was shot.
