Removing Bonnet from T350

Hi, which is the best way to remove the bonnet? undo the bolts (4 of them) which go though the bracket attached to the inner wing, or undo the bolts (one each side) that attach the actual bracket to the wing. Hope that makes sense

Some of the black has started to peel of from the underside and was thinking of repainting it.

What do you recommend to re-paint with? Have used Re-Paint coach enamel for wheel arces in the past, but will this be heat resistant.

Any advice welcome please.

I can't offer advice myself but I know Matt removes mine for servicing as a matter of course so it may be worth giving him a call to ask him the best way - providing you have an hour spare that is as he does like to chat

I never got a definitive answer when I asked this and ended up removing the 4 bolts that go into the bonnet, managed to get it re-aligned without any bother when it came to refitting it.

As for what to paint it with I have no idea!

When I have removed my bonnet in the past, I removed the 4 screws holding the bracket to the bonnet. Mark round the bracket so you can see how to line it up when you put it back on. It goes without saying its a 2 person job!

what shep says, you can`t remove it by just removing the 2 nuts as the studs are bonded into the inner wings, so you`d have to remove the 4 bolts to get the brackets off of these anyway.
