Having sold the Cerbera last Thursday, i collected the Tam from the Wirral today and i have to say i'm a very happy man. Coming home it didn't feel as fast on the motorways, but would have spanked the Cerb over the Snake Pass, (i'll qualify that by saying thats with me driving). A few quick questions, is 0 - 40 fully synthetic oil the one to use, what tyre pressures should 18" Spyders be (ran the cerb at 24Psi) and at what temp can you give it the beans, also be grateful for comments on the alloys, i think the silver works well with the body colour, but was wondering about light Anthracite.
Thanks
Bob (Pursyluv)

Generally:

<2k until 40 degree oil
<2.5k until 50 degree oil
<3k until 60 degree oil

Then I just keep it sensible until temp has settled and been running for a while, and you know it's up to temp.

WOW!!!!

Thats bloody lovely mate! Well done!

My thoughts are YES, defo's go for athracites. I had them on my T350 which was exactly the same colour as your Tam. Just gives it that 'Stealth" look that i personally love! Check our the pic so you can see what my T350 looked like when i had her!

Silly thing is got a bright Orange Sag now! getmecoat

Enjoy it buddy! See you at Chatsworth?

Stunning car. I work on The Wirral but have never seen a Tiv!

Dark Anthracite would work well me thinks. Been to see about mine getting done today :-)

24psi is good for the 18" spiders
0-40wt oil s OK but you might find consumption is higher as it is very thin. I run Mobil Synt S (now super 3000?)which is 5-40wt

Warm up temps look good as posted.

Congratulations fella. Lovely looking car. Very keen on anthracites myself but nothing wrong with those standard silver ones either, they suit the car really well.

24psi is what I run on mine. Later factory recommendation was 28psi I think. I tried that once and won't bother again!

Great choice, the lack of torque means it won`t keep up with the Cerb under motorway 5th gear conditions, however come off a roundabout up a long (private) dual carriage, and i have glued myself to the bumper of many a Cerb up to 130 mph.
Pics of mine with the wheels.

Nice motor! Grigio Tams with anthracite wheels are quite common laugh - put mine in for refurb today and I"m sticking with silver.

Hi all back home now and very grateful for your replies.
Mattt - Thanks
extremekiter - Beautiful T350, well if the Sags too bright, i'll swap wink
Gray 101 - Thanks mate, i was unsure whether the book was referring to 16" or 18" tyres
Smooth Smith - Cheers mate, it was stored in Moreton for the last 5 weeks
Shep1001 - Agreed, i thought 0-40 was a bit thin, i'll probably use 5-40 as and when required
NCC - Thanks, yes the book says 28Psi, but i assume this was for 16" tyres
willtvr - Do they still recommend semi-synthetic?
T66ORA - Thanks, nice Tam, really got to think about these wheels
clivef - Hi Clive, yes we'll be there, can't wait to meet up agian, a bit nearer the time i'll be asking if there is anything us yokels can do to smooth your journey north - for the record, i'm actually from Sheffield, so in no way a yokel, just so we are clear biggrin
Dale - Beauty, mine is Grigio Titanium, but could be ice looking at the photos
Geoff - Change the alloy colour, buy a private plate or save for a rainy day???
fairclp - what colour are those inserts?

This car belonged to SP6Rich, don't know if you met him, but an absolute gentleman, now residing in Melboure, Victoria, the lucky bcensored

Congratulations cool Great looking Tam.

Re the wheels I like both, and can't really decide so I'd probably stick with silver and spend the money on something else smile

It looked the same when I had her too! In fact it was this pic that sold it to me Justyn! Sadly gone now, and replaced with a big, smelly child carrier! Groan.

Nice Tam. I like the darker wheels, but if it was my money I would change the whole made of cheese spiders, rather than just changing their colour.

I would treat a lot of the info in the manual as a starting point, rather than gospel.
