Anyone have any knowledge of this car, any thoughts if it would make a good purchase?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/TVR-T350-/140512698223?pt=Au...

Anything in particular i should be asking or checking, seems quite cheap for a T350.

Looks nice but I would be asking who RYE motors are. Not heard this name before and I would want to know what experience they have with working on TVR/S6 engined cars. History check is a must & I would also ask which TVR dealer(s) have done the servicing in the past and when, then get on the phone to them to ask about it.

Agreed!

With that mileage i would want to know if RYE, when they done there service, know the ins and outs of exactly what the car needed with the S6 engine. Altho it looks the price reflects the mileage i personally would still wanna know the FULL history of who done what and when as from what ive learnt with S6 ownership for 6 years now its nearly rebuild time on 2003 S6 engines. RG told me that the later S6 engines dont need rebuild as often as early S6 engines. So service history is imperitive. Fair enough some guys i know with S6 engines havent had rebuilds on 46k but they HAVE had proper, genuine TVR dealership services so every adjustment was done at the right mileage.

Not my first choice of colour but thats just me, still an awsome car i loved my T350!!! Good luck thumbup

The previous owners father owns a large haulage company they changed the head gasket and did the other work to the car. I phoned the previous owner as I was about to buy the car but on they way to pick it up the dealer phoned me and said he had a better offer and sold it to the person who is now selling it after only a month or so.

So did you think the car was a good buy? Did you hpi check it? How much was the dealer selling it for previously. Not a good sign if it is being sold on so quickly

Looks like a cheep car, you could put in a cheeky offer on this: http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2492452.htmwink

and have a nice looking car with peace of mind that the engine is not going to grenade at any moment.

Has anyone viewed the car mentioned? Anyone know if it's any good or any more details to share?

It's all a bit odd see my thread here http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Jamie was going to view the car for me at the end of last week. I have tried calling, emailing and texting both Jamie and the seller but have heard nothing back. Would live to know what happened.

How bizarre. I emailed him earlier in the week and he replied saying it was still for sale. Something doesn't quite add up that's for sure.

Mmhh very odd. Did you get anymore info from the seller regarding service history or even reg number so it could be HPI . He obviously didnt want a TVR technician (Jamie) looking over the car so I can only assume there is something he is hidding. Anyway have moved on in my search and would rather get a car that i get a good feeling about, and this is certainly not it.

No, just that it was still for sale. Maybe you're right. The vibe definitely seems odd but it still maybe worth a look so long as you can thoroughly go over it.

Reg number appears to be 452 LOE on one picture
