Despite the fact that I had these resealed last year, the black section on the inside appears to be coming away from the perspex itself. This is more unsightly than a problem - they are still sealed.
I was thinking and wondering if it is possible to get vinyl trim put on the outside to tidy this up? Obviously just over the black section around the edge.

I had new ones put in last Summer as I didn't like the bubbling.

A small one re-appeared though a little while ago, and it's in the garage now being sorted.

Don't know why it does it!

I think it does it to annoy fussy owners! You can't win - you either get it well sealed and firm in place but it looks naff due to the amount of sealant on the inside, or it looks good but falls out.
I am going to ask a few vinyl wrappers if they can trim it on the outside.

It will blow off i resealed my windows on the T350 and the paint began to fail 6 months later i was told i used the wrong type of paint.
Can't remember the name but it's polycarbonate paint for windscreens i used the glass one.
Give ben@carizma a ring he will tell you.

If they are still sealed, then i would definately look at the vinyl surround as a serious option.
I had this problem with my Sag.Windows were sealed, but were going very "milky" in appearance, ie the black paint was comming away from the window, and damp was getting in. I had new side windows put in, which now look ok, but the windows keep comming out, literally. I have had them stuck back in 3 times now, and they seem to be ok this time. But if the problem re-occurs, i will certainly be looking to get a vinyl surround cut out and applied on the outer surface.
The Black Sag that is in Sebring has had vinyl applied, and it looks good.

If someone could come up with a carbon fibre surround, think that would look really good.

I disagree. Even that is starting to peel off! And in my personal opinion doesn't look as good as the paint on the inside. But this may be because they have used mat black vinyl?

I'm tempted to leave mine as is now, it's currently only one small bubble (unless more will keep appearing?) - and the risk of taking it out & damaging the car - and not getting a good fit/seal next time, are making me wonder whether it's worth it?

Had a reply back from a local wrapping/tinting company who are pretty confident they can do something on the outside. They apparently do a lot of gloss black trimming for Sytners vehicles.

Road Hog that is EXACTLY what I was thinking - either gloss black or carbon. Who did yours for you and were they a problem?

did them myself with help from a local carbon fibre company ,covers the black paint up , also if done correctly no need to paint the inside ,which enables a better bond to the car, no more blown out windows,as it bonds directly to the perspex, not the paint.

company i used was in stokesley, http://www.fibre-lyte.co.uk/

he may still have the patterns , (the rear quarter windows are sided and one is slightly bigger than the other.

was going to start selling these and other carbon stuff but didnt seem to be any interest.

sill kick plates, door catch plates . etc
