My current sag is very nice with a few tweaks like a custom exhaust, carbon airbox, painted rocker cover.

But I have this itch to try and get the car as top notch as i can without major engine work/replacements.

I would welcome opinions re.suggetsed modifications etc. I'm hoping to get one of those protective metal plates from Str8 six to stop the bumper being damaged,

All suggestions welcome. Long term I may consider the 4.5 upgrade/FFF head, though prefer to keep the originial british sp6 engine

Cheers
Paul

Oh two things I directly wanted to ask.

1) Steve Heath drop links - worthwhile on sagaris

2) decats worthwhile? I would like flames. My current exhaust is straight through(cat back) with silenced carbon cans at end.

you will get flames with decats but more like puffs of flame. You will need to change the center rear box as well to get anything decent. I thought my S6 was great when I had decats - edward quick ones but I think Clive makes them as well now.

Aluminium radiator
3:73 diff
stronger lighter wheels
momo steering wheel
corner weighted
laser alignment
silicone hoses
cut down spoiler
the list can go on and on see G Varley manual for more
or search the forums
most Sags are now better than when they left the factory due to sensible improvement upgrades by enthusiastic owners

Car had discharge headlight and I like the spider wheels - they are fairly new too.

I think decat is likely, will finish off my exhaust.

Do the nitrons chabge the car that much? Anybody used Steve Heath rose jointed drop links?

there are some good options there. When I had the S6 in I wish I would have done the Nitrons at that point, for traction as well as an all round driving car they make a big difference. The cut down spoiler bob mentions is also a good improvement, Graham Varley had his done and then I followed him though mine is even shorter than his, you can really feel the difference at high speed.

Brakes wise I would change the drilled disks to slotted and change to a bell and rotor format, something else that I have. Another good improvement is the diff ratio - what do you run?

I just enjoy driving it,which is the main reason to have one.

I have to be honest I'm not sure what the diff ratio is! I know I have a standard box though.

I have done the 3.91 diff change, CR box and 19" wheels still love the car

Next upgrades might be 4.5 engine upgrade, or some cosmetics to the engine

But I love driving the car so dont want it off the road for too long, so this upgrade may wait till winter

I have three fuel pumps and a fuel swirl pot - seems to do the job. Maybe a bit OTT on a S6

T350 tank much better with twin pumps, one each side. Can run it down to only 5 litres on track.

Good to have something that works better than the Sag option hehe

....but don't think it will fit.

I have found this a problem even when running with 10+litres and only driving round at 6/10ths, been told filling tank with baffle foam will render the fuel sender useless so best to go for the option blackiepaul did.

Improvements I have planed for mine are,

I already have

Nitrons
Lightweight Aluminium Rad

Next are

Speed Six engine pumping out a genuine 450bhp/400lbft
CR box/ 3.46 Diff
Stiffer Spring rates
Upgraded Brake pads
Road legal Track tyres
Race harness
Lightweight wheels
A bit of weight loss
Then full proper set up

That should do it.

I suspect you mean a 3.73 with the CR box.

No a CR box with 3.4 diff, though you would need a good engine power wise wink

wouldn't be a problem with a 450bhp/400lb ft speed six engine and that would give you a Gear ratio of

1-2.43
2-1.56
3-1.24
4-1
5-0.8
Final 3.46

Shift point at 7600rpm

1st 67mph
2nd 105mph
3rd 132mph
4th 164mph

Yes please wink
