Has anyone else had to do this?

I can reach the chip cover relatively easily whilst still fitted in the car - but not pulled the cover off yet, does it slide or just pull straight off?

Hi Matt

It easier if you take the ECU out of the car mate. You will need to push the middle of the cover (i did it at the bottom) with a terminal driver. It will give just enough to release.

It needs quite a push so watch your fingers!

Cheers. Lee.

Out of interest, how much did they charge for that?

Anyone know if the maps were ever updated?

I've compared a few eproms from various standard T350 ecus and they were all the same.
Doesn't mean the maps haven't been updated, just that I've not come across any.

36 posted, cheaper than the usual TVR sources.

Don't be confused, as this is the memory chip being talked about by the OP. (not the MAP EPROM)

Ah, OK.
The one I've compared is the one which gets changed for decats and which, IIRC, gets changed for cutting the cooling fans in at a lower temperature.

Done.

It came out so easy, but fitting it back in was a right pain!

Starts fine, will take it out for a longer test in a while.

Well what a chore that was, testing the Tiv in beautiful sunshine.

Laptop sat in pass footwell recording data, and no issues. I tried the usual things to make the fault repeat, but nothing - just beautiful running!

Thanks to TVR Power for the phone diagnosis and MBE for the chip coming so quick.
