Tamora front splitter protection
Discussion
Picked up my Tamora on Thursday. Had my first proper blast in it today in the sunshine. Unbelievably nice car to drive.
However although I knew speed bumps/dips/potholes would be a problem for the front splitter I was wondering if anyone had fitted any sort of protection under it to prevent damage? I slow down to less than 10 for speed bumps and try to put one wheel up first but it's the sudden dips/potholes that I can't see that worry me.
I know you can get protection for Sags but haven't seen anything for Tamoras?

I just raised the ride height on mine.
Good idea. Did you upgrade the suspension to Gaz Golds or Nitrons? I have raised the suspension on my T350 which has Nitrons but not sure if standard Tamora's suspension is adjustable. I have read there might be some adjustment to the spring seat.
I considered that roll of thin steel you can get in Halfords to mend your exaust with. Comes in two sizes. Not sure how easy it would be to flatten out and glue to the underside though. May still check it out. If I'm not careful I have a scrape when I pull of the drive, so it is rather irritating.
I had the guard film fitted to the front of the car when I got it..sadly, where it joins upper and lower on the bumper a stone hit the gap and chipped the paint (poor OEM paintjob anyway).
For your problem, personally I don't see an issue. My car is on Gaz Gold's the ride is superb and the car is lowered a little, the only time you'll scrape is in multi storey carparks or when going up or down a steep slope. What you could do is get some polycarbonate in black off ebay, it's cheap, strong and light. 4mm thick would do it. Just drill some holes, fit some rivnuts (for easy removal) and bolt/trim to fit the front. Added bonus is it'll flat bottom the front of the car as per a diffuser.
While you're at it, flat bottom the whole car
Seriously though, why bother?

Thanks. Maybe mine is running quite low. Im finding im scraping it on my driveway and its not that steep and taking it very slowly; its just a rise over the pavement into it. Also yesterday there was a sudden dip on a residential road and it scraped it. I don't think i'll be taking it in any multi storey car parks. For your problem, personally I don't see an issue. Think maybe i should upgrade the suspension to something adjustable.

On stock susp, you shouldn't be grounding out, just take a wheel off and look at the suspension, if it's aftermarket it's immediately obvious from the colour/logo.
Just have it raised a little.
Mine was stock suspension, I couldn't go up some multistory car parks without it grounding, and had real problems with the speed bumps here in NorwayJust have it raised a little.

A lot of the time, if the car has had a few owners, what's been done gets lost and some people never look at the mechanicals. When I bought my car, I spotted the JP cans on the back and then when a wheel came off (I think I was fitting the trickle charger connection) I spotted the blue anodised bodies and the small 'Gaz Gold' label...nice little bonus for me

Hopefully i may get the same bonus as car has had a couple of upgrades.

and taking it very slowly
Exactly the same situation here too but it handles like a kart so the suspension set up stays
Exiting my driveway is a slow and slightly tense few moments and quite often involves a slight scrape when I get it wrong.
