in the process of making some trackday silencers at the moment for my sag, question is, are people who are using their sags on track running catted or decatted?

cats in will obviously be quieter, but interested if any have cats out and gets away with it, something I am aiming for with my silencer design, as putting the cats back for a trackday isn`t a 5 minute job.

Hi Clive,
Mine is de-catted for all uses.

ACT/JP Fully packed 5 1/2" OD
Sleeved=103-105DbA always passes 105. Without sleeve no back pressure created, so unrestricted horrible noise, guess 107+Dba

Noise killers sub 95DbA drive by create sufficient back pressure for silencers to work well; guess could be straight, or various lengths etc; just never got around to trying other stuff

Also Back Box split and loose packed to stop resonance

Graham, any mp3s or videos of the noise your car makes with that set up? I can find one on YouTube on a dyno but not sure what the exhaust on the car is at that point, and the sound isnt that great.
Thanks
J

My last trackday was year before last. Limit was 100dbA, I measured 102dbA (standard exhaust fitted) - the guy gave me a wink and let me have my fun!!
