On the "new/refurbished badges"thread, there was a comment regarding the positioning of the boot release button being moved from behind the badge to the side of the number plate light on the later T350/SAGS.Can anyone confirm this?Over time, the paint around the badge has become scratched/worn due to the badge being spring mounted.Behind my badge is the same small black push button switch as is under the door mirrors,is this the switch used at the side of the number plate light? Also if someone could tell me where the button is positioned or even provide a photo,I would be grateful,Regards,Steve.

My Tam is an 05 and it has the boot release under the badge. It's a pain as I replaced the badge with a metal one as the plastic was shot on the old one, had to cut through the boot carpet to get to it and had to cut a foam backing template as the springy spacer under the badge...

...which I now need to redo with some thicker foam as on a sunny day the boot release can go spastic as it all heats up and expands. It was a real swine, one setting and the boot release wouldn't work, a half turn of the bolts and it was on all the time
