ok, so how many miles or smiles per gallon doesn`t really concern any tvr owner, but as a little exercise today, I went up to str8six, and with tripometer at zero had 31 litres of fuel, I filled up midway putting in 28litres, on getting home I`d covered 204miles, and had 26 litres left, so, she drank 33 litres, 4.456 to the gallon, so 7.4 gallons over 204 miles = 27.5 mpg, quite impressive.

mostly dual carriagway and motorway stuff, which will give better figures than blasting around A and B roads, but still good IMHO, adhering to all speed limits of courseyes

Hi Clive, yes, more or less identical when we went to the BNG at Blackpool last year. Covered 750 miles over the weekend and used just a tad under 27 gallons, so worked out at 28mpg.
Off to see Danny Winstanley tomorrow at Silverstone in the GT Cup, racing his newly prepared Sag, I wonder what his mpg will behehe

I got nearly 30 mpg coming back from STR8SIX when I bought it, but it was a new car (for me), and it was raining, and I drive like an old man.
Strangely I don't get anywhere near that now biggrin
As a side note these cars are superb, sorry I can't be more eloquent, but they just are yes

I always cringe when I read about the likes of Audi RS and Merc AMGs doing low 20s on a slow run. 911s seem to be more economical than many think, pity they've ruined them with the latest engines. No noise, less personality.

I get 26mpg from Wycombe to Brussels, 80ish mph in the UK, 85ish mph in France/Belgium. Measured several times as I set off from home with a full tank and refuel near Brussels. Could go further but last thing you want to do is get stuck on the notorious Brussels Ring Road and run out!

3.91 diff btw, so revving a little higher than a std car at the same speed.

Got to remember those German saloons are relatively heavy. I achieved 24.5mpg this week on a 180 mile run with a mixture of motorway and city driving in an R8 (V8).

Does this car have Miles to empty and MPG on the trip computer? or are people just working it out off fuel used?

No they don't. I used the proper method, Fill to click, drive, fill to click. Litres filled & miles driven gives the result. Since most car computers overhead by 5-10% I guess mine would read 28mpg on a run. Obviously less on a Sunday run driving

Wow! 31 ltrs, how exact. All I know is that, unless I'm flooring the Sag at full tilt, my daily drive (Alfa Romeo Brera V6S LE Prodrive, makes the Sag look like a Ford KA with a gas conversion!

Time/ terminal?? smile

I saw pics and thought it may have been yours (PH'er "Central" has them on his facebook, a regular at RWYB with a camera.)

Initial impressions are that the T350 is better on fuel than the Cerb... which itself has a lowest of 10.5 and highs of 31mpg!!

Did thoudands of (s)miles in T350, and every time I measured on long motorway trips was always about 25mpg.. nearer 30 if it was busy and limited to 55-60 mph !!

Mine too. That's I why I always measure click to click; mileage done divided by uk gallons put in. Usually get around 25mpg but spend a lot of time in second and third smile

Only accurate fuel consumption check is, fill up ,to fill up and on a sag this can be difficult to judge.
When monitored on a 200 mile plus journey mine always came out between 23- 24 mpg.

Click to click? With some pumps and a T350 you could easily get well over 100mpg.

Being close to Germany does not improve my mpg generally smile But I went on a long trip and measured; had 27,1 mpg with around 85-90mph cruising speed and not to many sprints from 0. It was measured over like 700 miles so I think it was pretty accurate.

The fuel gauge is a constant source of amusement - my T350 would never register more than 51 litres even when filled to overflowing... which pretty much happened every time !! banghead

Warning buzzer comes on with 4 litres left and I never knew whether that meant 10 miles or 100 miles depending on whether I was turning left or right or going uphill or down ! wobble

All part of the fun !

^^ what he said... grumpy

I'd love to measure mine but at the bottom of the tank my gauge reads anywhere from 3 to 11 Lts while going round a round-about. jester At the full end I have to guestimate when full arrives as its spurts out fuel at any point during filling process and I am regularly surprised as full sneaks up on me and I end up with it glugging out over my feet, so 'click-to-click' never really happens... banghead

What the last two said. Got to petrol station yesterday with 1 litre showing proceeded to fill up and still only got 42 ltrs in including the 2 litrs that went on my feet but working it out I get anywhere between 17 and 23 to gallon.
