There's been a fair few good threads about what to look for when buying a car - but still think the buyers wiki guide at the top could be improved.

I thought it could be broken down into sections, and then people (if interested) could take a section each and do a little write up.

Sound good to anyone, or a bad idea?

I think sections could be:

General Introduction
Model Differences - Tam, T350 & Sag
Evolution through the production years
Common modifications

Exterior
Interior
Engine
Running Gear
Chassis
Suspension
Electrics & ECU
Wheels & Tyres
Brakes

Any additions or thoughts? I see it that the more people understand how to differentiate good condition cars from bad, it can only help residuals for our (generally) well looked after cars.

Yes, good idea. You could include the Tuscan in this guide too - same thing under the skin.

I wrote a Tuscan guide some years ago, it's now available here: https://docs.google.com/fileview?id=0B4pzeL_TBDYeY...
(The one here is the last version I did and the update website mentioned at the top of the guide is no longer up).

That looks really good.

I'm off this week, so might start to knock something up.
