The clock on 2009 vantage will lose a couple of minutes every few months. But when I now go to rest the clock, menu, time and correct the time on the digital display and hit enter, the analog clock does not change. If I go back into the menu to rest again, the time displayed on the digital display is correct but not the analog dash clock. Any suggestions?

isn't the analog clock just changed by a pen tip on the little holes below it?

The owners manual states to use the Menu, car setting, clock. Maybe the 4.7 cars with redesigned interior is different?

I'm having a serious case of deja vu with this. Wasn't this posted a while back? Are you having problems with your computer clock too smile

2007 cars definitely just set with the little holes beneath the clock.

There is a complicated jester technical method to help fix the problem which involves disconnecting a connector on the tunnel which takes all power from the clock giving it a complete reset. It's easy enough but take it to a dealer as I can't remeber which connector it is and I wouldn't recommended you doing it yourself anyway.

It's a software glitch. If you get charged for this fix you need to have a serious word with your dealer. Besides most customers ask technicians to set the clocks for them anway...or it gets done at service (FOC of course!) and the customer never notices!

The new clocks don't have the pen holes.

So that's an improvement?

Well, mine adjusts if you adjust the clock in the menus. It seems to work.

I have another clock setting issue. Haven't invested a lot of time trying to figure it out but . . . I can set the hour and minute through the menu system, but I can't seem to set "a.m." versus "p.m." This is not a problem in regard to the analog clock, but my sat nav gives me estimated times of arrival that are 12 hours off.

Move the analog clock settings on 12 hours (IIRC seem to recall seeing the same in my last car!)

It's to do with the software in a module, not the clock itself. Once the fix is in place it won't need doing again (Usually). As for the sat nav, make sure your intermediate destinations have been deleted in the menu. If you don't pass the imaginary finish line as dictated by the GPS and then plan another route, the system still thinks the place you were going originally is still your main destination and the new route is just a waypoint which racks up the mileage and the arrival time.

Had a sort of similar issue in mine, where the analogue clock was always showing a few minutes behind what I set it to in the menu. It was fixed under warranty (about the only one of half a dozen issues they actually managed to fix at the first attempt! rolleyes )

The NAV system should be getting its time from the satellites. I doubt is uses your clock. Of course, they COULD have the clock get set by the nav system.

It could be worse Mclaren MP12s are being delivered with no working sat/nav let alone clock. It would appear that a supplier has let them down as the software is not yet available. It is planned for existing owners to be installed later on in the year they do not say which year.

The latest sat/nav in the MY2011 DB9 is good if not better than the Garmin in the Virage.

I suppose that the nav could be getting the time from the satellites, although I think it's unlikely that the satellites would have the wrong time set. I guess I'll try a test to see if changing the time affects the nav results.
