Our little daughter lost her most favourite teddy in Sainsbury's weekend before last. I thought the teddy on the AM site looked good so emailed Murray Motor in Edinburgh - our local dealer - to ask if they could get one for me. One turned up in the post today and what a bear it is! Fantastic! One EXTREMELY happy little girl.

A big thanks to Rodger & the guys at Murray! Brilliant service.

Sometimes it's the little things that count although I expect there are bigger things the dealer would like to be noted for smile

Did they give it to you for free? Sorry, I don't get why buying a teddy represents good service?

Yup - it was free even though I offered to pay for it. I thought it was a nice gesture.

Hmmm.

This reminds me that a certain dealer that may or may not be in Essex still owe me a teddy....

Grrr!

But nice one for the OP, brings a smile!

Aah well, that was nice of them. My dealer is nice but that's a facade for their underlying lack of flexibility or unwillingness to be helpful when it's genuinely needed.

I got a free bear. Just happened to buy a V8V on the same day.

I received a fake service on my V12.

Told me it was being done between me agreeing to buy and collecting. Now the car and the dealer are telling me it needs a service 3 months early - grrr.

well my wife DIDN'T get a bunch of flowers - the first time ever when we have bought a new car. It is the little things that matter isn't it. And bears were definately not mentioned!

I haggled like mad and they eventually agreed (amongst other things) to give me a brolley. When I went to pick up the car they told me it was in the boot. I get home with my lovely new (used) car and excitedly open the boot to discover that there was a brolley in there but not an Aston one, but some cheap st £2 thing with the dealers name advertised all over it. Tossers.

It's one reason why some of their best people are leaving.

Same dealer for me but I got a teddy bear, an umbrella and a bunch of flowers. Plus I ate a load of their Danish partries while I was avoiding buying tyre insurance.

I must be a great negotiator. Or I paid too much... laugh

I guess it varies between branches.
