Well, the DB9 arrived here in Plymouth from Cheltenham at mid-day yesterday in the back of an enclosed truck accompanied by Craig Davison Brand Manager at Broughtons Aston Martin.

To say I am absolutely delighted with the car is an understatement, although I was sorry to see my 4.3 V8 Vantage being loaded onto the truck for transportation back to Cheltenham as I had enjoyed my time as its owner.

The DB9 is midnight blue with blue carpets, with a caspian blue and sandstorm interior.

Beautiful.

I have to say that the service I received from Craig and his sales executive Howard Ganderton was excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and all the minor issues I raised about the DB9 have been addressed.

In relation to the V8 I have a pair of refurbished front wheels , never fitted , another complete set of four wheels which are also virtually as new, a genuine Aston Martin car cover as new in a carrying/storage bag, and a full set of tailor made mats with the Aston Martin logo in the company colours from "the Vantage Collection ", never fitted and brand new.

I plan to advertise after Christmas, but if anyone on this forum is interested in any of the kit please send me a pm.

PS, Are there any water drain holes/channels on the DB9 which I should check ?

Great to hear you got the car Tony. Sounds a great colour combo and as said before pictures are obligatory!!

Are you in AMOC? Area 20 (Devon & Cornwall) is a thoroughly modern Area welcoming all Astons. Lots of DB7's, 9's and quite a few Vantages so if you'd like to know more then PM me and I'll get you more information.

Ian

Sounds like my old DB9: Midnight Blue with Caspian and Sandstorm interior (with blue carpets) I loved the 2-tone interior combination. Put up some photos!

Well done Tony - sounds fantastic.

DB9 has the usual drain holes in the bottom face of each door, for periodic checking.

I kid you not....the Manual (11.40) says to clear them if necessary with a 'short length of wire or a pipe cleaner'.

Bread from heaven for the Vantage boys smile

Sorry, it's an indoor version , burgundy red with white piping, AM logo embroidered in white on the front with V8 Vantage on each side near the strakes.

Been faffing around all day with the car. Can't identify exactly which is fuse 22 in the boot . I am aware it's a 20 amp job .

Anyone point me in the right direction please as to precise location as I simply can't identify it ?

Yup, 20 amp, blade fuse, YELLOW.

According to Rick, if you look closely under torchlight you will see the black casing has a number of each fuse etched on it smile

on mine (2005 db9) 2005 DB9
in the boot, under the raised bit of carpet on the floor (left hand side), lift that off (velcro), unclip the lid to the fuse box. Fuse 20 was located at top left. IE nearest the rear seats (row) nearest the rear wing (column)

If you want workshop manuals in pdf, let me know.
