Took the Aston out today on the Santa run, Tyre Fault came up which i choose to ignore but it's on the speedo display and i could'nt clear the fault with the stalk button.
I found if i press the read button on dash it clears it so i get my speedo back, it just leaves the yellow tyre logo.
After a few miles later that clears too when i get some heat in the tyres. For the cycle to start all over again when i make the next stop.
Just something i found today,Also if you leave your lights on and turn the ignition off when you turn your ignition back on you get more dings.
Maybe a post for newbies biggrin

Happy Christmas Everyone

tyre thing is just air pressure dropping in the cold - check the pressures now cold and put some air in to the temps on the label in the door

Received the same message last week and topped up accordingly with the compressor.

Just make sure those tyres are cold otherwise you will get a false reading.

The fact that TPMS has kicked in shows that they are 'significantly' under pressure smile

I was taking my 9 in for my Christmas present (new alloys) to be fitted and ironically on the way there the TPMS fault light came on. Stopped and looked at the tyres and they looked OK so drove slowly to the garage. When returning the car with it's shiny new alloys on they told me that the front passenger side monitor had failed and they had replaced it.

Our tyres have lost about 4-5 psi in the last two months so you're not alone there.
I'm pretty sure it's down to temperature change and not confined to the aston either! Almost 3months ago, I was grovelling about in t shirt and shorts putting winter rims and tyres on our Alfa. Seemed mad until the heavy frosts we started having the following week.
Just think; without the TPS you'd probably have cruised through the cooler months oblivious to the change.

its normal during winter to "lose" pressure ...come a hot summers day they go up instead ...

if you set tyre pressure when cold on a winters day and check them after a spirited drive in summer and they will read +5psi or more

nothing wrong with your sensors or tyres

I've had his come occasionally up since I had the winter tyres fitted about 2 months ago, particularly in cold mornings, but it would usually disappear after 10 - 20 mins of driving. The coments about cold temps and low pressures seems spot in in my experience. It happened again today as I headed out or a bit of a run biggrin so stopped to check the levels; one was off by a couple of psi, the rest only 1psi down, but topped them up, and the warning light was gone. Seems the senors are quite sensitive?
Fab blast today biglaugh

Your system is just doing its job V8 Animal. I don't believe there is anything more sinister than that smile
