DB9 Gearbox in Sport mode

Used " Sport " gearbox mode fore the first time today on my TT2 DB9.

At 75 MPH the box was in 5th gear, and did not appear to want to change into 6th. Too much rush hour traffic to increase speed any higher.

Anyone any idea what speed 6th gear comes into play ?

Never had it in 6th whilst in sports mode in auto. I usually use sports mode and paddles, I like how it makes the gearbox act like a sort of manual - i.e. bouncing off the rev limiter if you so wish.

I thought that in 'Sport' mode 5th was as high as you could go. If you want 6th just revert back to 'Drive'. Stand to be corrected though.

You are absolutely correct. I should have read the manual ( Page 5.5 ) before posting on here.

It says " If selecting Sport mode while in D - top gear (6th), a downshift to 5th gear will occur.

This will not happen if cruise control ( option ) is active.
