DBS wheels on DB9 - (more or less)

Here as discussed and opened in a new thread. DBS wheels now fitted 
As pointed out I bought the car that had DBS spoilers/sills already on, but for size you will still get an idea; parts were modified to fit DB9 (narrower) arches. Wheels fill the rear arches to within a hairs width of clearance!










And finally, Tonys complete set of shiny knobs. No Aston should be without them, and roll on the stalks!

Interesting car, I quite like the 'DB9S' badging, I have thought of doing something similar!
Wheels do look good, much better than what waa on there before. Is it slate blue?
I think it haveing a DB9 bonnet and bootlid stops it looking too much like a DBS, a bit like mine that has only wheels and the bonnet. I few bits are fine, whole package... can be a little to much for a DB9!
I am considering the sills, a bit like a Vantage upgrade. Did they just bolt on or had to be cut and shut as well?

Bonnet apparently fabricated by folk that put bits on, cut identical vents and they make their own mesh (they have press now so can replicate, direct swap for OEM)
Think the sills had to be modified, but check with Paragon Design UK in Norfolk. There is a page on their site for build. Yes, slate blue.

Looking at the before and after, it's gone from an aftrermarket mish-mash to a car that looks correct (even though it isn't!).
No different to Aston offering the 'Cosmetic' kit for the V8 Virage to make it look like a Vantage V8 back in the day. Or people adding N400 sills to their Vantages nowadays. As long as it isn't badged as a DBS of course

Yes, the geometry has been completely redone. Obviously And the suspension and alignment matched to them?

I assume you mean wheel and tyre height rather than width? The speedo has changed, the digital reading is now precisely accurate according to my satnav! Was always a few mph above actual as the law requires it to overread rather than there be the possibility of underreading, now it is absolutely dead on accurate to 1mph. Another nice result

No calibration required, tyre profiles lower to keep diameter same,
Front DB9 235/40 R19 DBS 245/35 R20

Still to have geometry set up but no one in my area does it, will need to take a road trip. From what I hear on here from those in the know, this would do wonders for any car, wheel change or not.

A geometry set up for you will be a revelation. It'l be worth the drive 'doon sooth'.
Have you got a good picture of the Khan(?) bootlid lip? I like it, would like to add a subtle change tot th rear end of mine and it might even be of some use at high speed.

From those pictures I agree it looks too aftermarket - i.e. clearly stuck on. How much would a DBS bootlid be? Or could you have a custom carbon one made that would fit to the existing nice and flush? What's the DBS bootlid made of? If it's carbon fibre could be a nice addition to your bonnet Does it look better on the car or does it catch the eye as being something that doesn't belong?

Looked into this George, the problem is that the bootlid has a swage line which continues up the folding tonneau panel so the cost for both suddenly becomes astronomical! I would then need the roadster-style raised section behind the rear seats, in effect a whole Volante back end. Cost prohibitive, only paid a grand for my bonnet!
Maybe long term or if someones DBS Volante finds a hedge...
Stuck on it indeed is.... With a £500 price tag.... If you are keen haggle with Kahn and they will knock £150+ off
It is plastic, not sure if I would blend it, it will raise too much on the edges and look .... weird.... having obviously been stuck on does not make it look out of place, a lot of rear spoiler are simply glued on, sure it is not like an original boot lid but if I remember rightfully they were £4K made from exotic materials
