Dear new found friends smile

I have this Ctek charger:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004ZWV1JI/ref=...

with the cigar ligher adapter. Is it possible to trickle charge my V8V by connecting the Ctek adapter into the power socket in the boot by the fuse box? Is the power socket permanently live and is this an OK way to trickle charge or can it only be done via the three pin battery conditioner socket (that is not fitted to my car)?

Do I just connect the charger and let it do it's thing? It has a eight stage process I believe.

Thanks.

Simple answer.. Yes..
Do this with mine. Works fine after being left for 4-5 weeks without running

Yes the socket in the boot works fine.... I left my car untouched, but on charge for 3 months, and on my return it started instantly and the battery is perfectsmile

Actually the later astons ONLY have the power socket for trickle charging. As of MY2009 the 3 pin socket is no more.

Thanks all. I don't plan on not driving it for long periods right now but I can see that over winter it will be worth keeping on charge.
