Battery Isolation
Discussion
I'm going away over Easter (flying, alas) so my car won't be driven for 12 days.
My previous V8V 4.3 had a brand new battery when I bought it and went weeks and weeks without losing charge.
Questions are:
- Should I use the (new found!) battery isolator switch whilst I'm away, to be safe. I have no mains power in my garage, so have no trickle charger / conditioner.
- If I do, will I just lose things like saved radio station presets, seat memories etc? Or will there be ECU confusion etc.
- Is there also a security benefit to switching the battery off?
Thanks guys.
