and the squeaking has stopped smile These pads have a blue coloured back to them.

Fingers crossed the squeaking doesn't come back.

blue used to be Pagid RS4-2 compound, standard OE pads used to be Pagid RS4-2-2 (black)

sometimes the squeak is just down to lack of backing buffer pads, lack of copper slip on rear, or sometimes pads may not have had edges chamfered ...usually trial and error if whoever fitted last set just was a bit lazy when fitting

The last set were fitted by the same AM dealer. The car has been looked after by them since new. They said this was a factory revised part and fitted it for me FOC. The edges look like they have a bevel on them. These are the handbrake pads, not the brake pads.

Can we get specifics on the pads? I am very interested in a solution for this problem.

That wasn't you I saw mincing past in a kilt in Bateman Street just now was it?
If it were, you headed the opposite direction to Old Compton Street so I can't start any scurrilous rumours there. That said, whoever it was did come from that direction and had a big smile although I didn't check out if they were packing under the sporran.

If it were....
yes

I've also quoted a part of your second sentence to show your thorough grasp of the subjunctive....even after a couple of Ales.

Well done Pierre smile

Huh? I might know about fuses but English defeats me. (btw did "Ales" need a capital?)

Handbrake. They were squeaking and I was told there was an updated pad which I had fitted today. The squeak has gone smile
