AM Owners Sick Kids Appeal
Discussion
Hi guys,
Mods - let me know if this breaches forum rules and I will take down.
Anyway, bit of an appeal actually. 13 people from my work (including me) will be completing the 3 Peaks Hill Walking challenge in aid of the Sick Kids in 7 weeks time and we are seeking some generous people to donate some items to help us.
Anything you think might help - food, water, energy drinks, walking gear and most importantly prizes (of any kind!) to use for fundraising.
Hopefully some people can help and please pass on to anyone you think might be able to.
Thanks guys
Lewis

Well done for this!
Perhaps some more detail on who the beneficiaries are may be helpful?
For example, we do a few events throughout the year for Great Ormond Street Childrens Hospital, and we're doing one next month to gather funds to buy a child the components for a motorized wheel chair (a PH'er is building it!). We try to give as much info as possible so that people can make a more informed choice whether to engage or not.
Hope it goes well

The money is being raised for the Sick Kids Friends Foundation based in Edinburgh.
We are aiming to raise money specifically for two projects:
i) renovate the playroom at a cost of £2,500
ii) purchase special speech and language equipment to benefit children who have suffered Cleft Lip and Palette. Around 20 children a month would benefit from this equipment which costs £12,500.
We won't raise all the money required through this challenge alone but combined with other events we have planned throughout the year we hope to hit the target.
Details on the charity can be found at their website.......

All the best with your GOSH events.
Lewis - apologies for hijacking your thread but given the subject I am sure you won't mind
Gary - Not a problem sir, thank you for providing more detail in my absence! Get this over in the Ferrari forum as well please!
George - Ben Nevis will be the first peak straight from work so no chance of that (unfortunately). We're also aiming to complete the challenge in under 24 hours which will make for an interesting enough climb without the addition of alcohol
