Second 'City Boys' meeting in London

Following the first meeting a few weeks ago it was agreed that we should try and make it a bi-monthly (or as regular as is possible) aim to meet up for a chat and some sustenance around the City of London.

With that in mind, I propose either Friday 1st June (just before her Maj's jubilee celebrations so we can propose a toast or two to Queen and Country) or Friday 8th June (to propose a belated toast or two). City Boot as before as a starter but happy if someone wants to suggest an alternative venue, perhaps in the Broadgate Circle/Bishopsgate area.

Bad days Fridays for me, However just one of those things, just to cheer you all up I am off tomorrow to the Rioja wine region with 24 other Astons for the next couple of weeks....

I remember you were excited about this trip. Have a great time. As it would be great to hear about it, and as you are an inaugral member of the 'City Boys', how about we change the date of our next late lunch to either Thursday 7th or Thursday 14th June?

Assuming that the current nonsense I'm dealing with is complete by then count me in..... unless it's anytime between the 2nd and the 10th June as I'm away from the smoke.
If the weather's nice can I come in my usual work attire of banker shocking shorts and tee shirt? It's tough being me!

OK here's a plan. We'll have a meet at the City Boot (or other location to be agreed) on 1st June for an informal toast or two before the Jubilee celebrations. If feasible for people we can have another meet up when Pilgrim returns so we can hear about the fun in Rioja territory.

I'll put you down for 1st June (work permitting). At least if the weather is nice we may see Nick (if he is in town) without the green country squire look, although brown shoes probably go with shorts too
